Catch a weeknight concert with something for everyone with Jackson Edwards of the WeatherVanes doing his one-man show. The band’s “Americana” sound spans rock, blues and country music, which Jackson renders with a stomp box, harmonica, guitar and vocals to adapt it to the acoustic solo format.
“It’s slower, more focused on the singer-songwriter type, folky ballads and stuff like that. But I’ll also play some rock and bluesy Stevie Ray Vaughan-type stuff,” Jackson said.
He will play 7-8:30 p.m. Feb. 27 at Calvert Library Prince Frederick, 850 Costley Way, Prince Frederick. Free. Call 410-535-0291.
It’s the last chance to see “I Never Saw Another Butterfly,” a moving play by Celeste Raspanti about children learning, playing and taking care of each other despite their desperate situation in the Terezin concentration camp during the Holocaust.
