Officers are investigating a report that a man driving a silver Dodge or Chrysler sedan with tinted windows stalked two 12-year-old girls who were walking to their school bus stop on Macclesfield Court in Waldorf on the morning of Feb. 20, the Charles County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The suspicious activity was reported later that day at 7:09 p.m. The girls said they were walking to the bus stop between 7:50 and 8:10 a.m. when they noticed the car following them.

The car stopped when the girls reached the bus stop, and the driver opened the door and called the girls over while making an obscene gesture.

The girls ignored the man, who then drove away toward Leonardtown Road.
