Evelyn Audrey Hudson, 84, Waldorf
Evelyn Audrey Hudson, 84, of Waldorf, formerly of Hollywood and Alexandria, Va., died Feb. 23, 2013, at home.
Born Sept. 27, 1928, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Cornwall Swain and the late Bertram Eugene Swain.
She enjoyed watching movies and eating popcorn, reading, playing bingo and dining out. In her younger days, she enjoyed dancing and going to hear Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. She liked watching football and was a Washington Redskins fan. She loved spending time with her family and loved ones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Hudson; brothers, Bert and John Swain; and sisters, Birdie, Mary, Bessie and Lottie Swain.
She is survived by her children, Deborah C. Hudson, Frank L. Hudson, Shelly M. Coffren and her husband Keith, John W. Hudson, William “Billy” Hudson and Gene Ingraham and his wife Jan; and grandchildren, Shannon Coffren, Tyler Hudson and Brandon Hudson.
A life celebration will be held from 6-8 p.m. March 1 at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, Charlotte Hall, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. March 2. Burial will take place at Old Fields Episcopal Church Cemetery, Hughesville.
