Gov. Martin O’Malley (D) last week nominated several people to the St. Mary’s College of Maryland Board of Trustees for six-year terms. The appointments require confirmation by the Maryland Senate.
Two new appointees are Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and Ann Logan McDaniel. Rawlings-Blake is the mayor of Baltimore. McDaniel is a senior vice president of The Washington Post Co., parent company of Post-Newsweek Media, of which The Enterprise is part.
Nominated for reappointment as St. Mary’s College trustees are Peg Duchesne, owner of Duchess Enterprises; Timothy Louis Heely, retired Navy rear admiral and owner of Heely and Co.; Sven Erik Holmes, vice chairman of KPMG and a retired U.S. District Court judge; Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md., 5th); and Katharine Russell, president of RWWRA Publishing.
In addition, the governor recommended Dr. John W. Roache for appointment to the College of Southern Maryland Board of Trustees.
