Three Mattawoman Middle School students — two 13-year-old girls and one 14-year-old boy — have been charged with drug possession after the Waldorf school’s resource officer found them with marijuana Feb. 20, the Charles County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Officer M. DePaulo was told the two girls had marijuana at 9:52 a.m. She recovered the marijuana from the two students and further learned that they had been sold the drugs by the boy, who also brought the marijuana to the school.
All three were charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. The boy also was charged with distributing drugs.
The students were released to their parents.
