A Waldorf man has been charged with drug possession after a traffic stop at 7:50 a.m. Feb. 23 at the intersection of U.S. 301 and Billingsley Road in Waldorf.
James Donnell Young, 24, was pulled over by a state police trooper for failing to drive within a single lane. Trooper Kenge said he smelled alcohol on Young’s breath. Young was arrested for DUI, police reported. During a search, Kenge found that Young had a small baggie containing suspected marijuana along with a glass pipe, police said.
He was charged with driving under the influence and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and other traffic charges.
Young was released from the La Plata barrack after receiving his traffic and criminal citations.
