At 7:37 a.m. Feb. 21, Charles County sheriff’s officers went to Drury Drive in La Plata after someone reported a stabbing.
Police found the men started an argument while on a bus. When they got off the bus at Drury Drive, they got into a fight, during which police say Raymond Winfield Rison, Jr., 25, of no fixed address, pulled a pocket knife and stabbed the victim. The victim, 30, was flown to a hospital where he was admitted with injuries that were serious but not life-threatening.
Rison was arrested a short distance from the bus stop.
A computer check revealed Rison had open warrants with the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office. He was served the warrants and is being detained in Calvert County. Criminal charges will be filed in the case, police reported.
