On Feb, 2, several Southern Maryland homeowners association leaders came together via a conference call to form a regional HOA council with the goal of becoming a force to be reckoned with throughout the region.

A force to be reckoned with? Is it not time for HOAs to lobby for their fair share of county and state funding, to have a voice on school redistricting issues and road improvements, or even a prompt response from their mayors, councilpersons, commissioners, delegates or senators?

For the most part, an HOA board member is an elected official within their small community who is counted on to get things done.

At 11:30 a.m. March 23, HOA colleagues from throughout Southern Maryland will meet at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Hall at 4590 St. Joseph Way in Pomfret. Should you have questions, please contact me at 301-848-3476.
