On March 16, the Charles County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting its fourth annual Bike Ride at the Indian Head Rail Trail. This is a great family event and benefits the United Way of Charles County and the Spring Dell Center — two local organizations that rely solely on the support of our community to make a difference in the lives of people every day.
All participants of the ride will receive a commemorative drawstring backpack. The town of Indian Head will provide a free lunch after the ride.
This event is open to cyclists and in-line skaters. Whether riding or skating, everyone is required to wear a helmet to participate. Check-in time on the day of the event is at 9 a.m. at the Village Green Pavilion at 100 Walter Thomas Road in Indian Head. The ride will begin at 10 a.m.
Registration has begun and runs until the day of the ride. If interested, call 301-609-4844 or go to www.unitedwaycharles.org for more information.
Please join members of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office for a great day of fun and exercise. At the same time, you will meet new people and support two trusted charitable organizations that are investing locally for a better Charles County.
Hope to see you there.
