Silver Stars tryouts
Tryouts for the Pax River Silver Stars basketball team will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. March 16 at the Margaret Brent Recreation Center in Helen. The Mechanicsville Youth Lacrosse Club is looking for coaches for their boys youth lacrosse teams for the spring season.
The players are 5 to 14. Practice starts early March and the season ends late May. Practices are held at Chaptico Park and home games are at Fifth District Park behind Lettie Dent Elementary School.

Pax River Raiders
The Pax River Raiders Youth Football League will hold its spring tackle fundamentals program beginning March 20.
The program is offered for those players/parents who are interested in tackle football without the fall season commitment. This 10-week program will be on Sundays and Wednesdays March 20 to May 26.

Calverton Soccer Academy
The Calverton Soccer Academy will hold a spring break soccer skills and competition camp from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 25 to 29 and April 1 to 5 at The Calverton School. Spring Break trainings are structured to give one hour of technical and agility work followed by one hour of game play. Walk, Run & Roll
Bay Community Support Services, a full-service agency that provides quality support services for people with disabilities in Maryland, will hold its first annual Walk, Run & Roll at 8 a.m. April 27, rain or shine, in St. Mary’s City.
The cost is $25. Children 12 and younger are free.

Gridiron Alumni is planning several full contact alumni football games this spring.Players are needed to sign up and the first 40 players on each team get to play. The team that gets 30 people registered first gets home field advantage.
