Several Waldorf neighborhoods being evacuated

A propane truck has overturned on Bensville Road, Route 229, near Carrie Court in Waldorf, the Charles County Sheriff’s Office has reported.

The road is closed between Route 228 and Zoll Lane.

Residents of Valley Drive, Sedgeland Court, Carrie Court, Shannon Drive, Poplar Court and Paperbirch Court are being evacuated.
