A Temple Hills teenager has been charged with second-degree murder in a Feb. 24 shooting that left a 22-year-old Washington, D.C., man dead.
Members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, a federal fugitive task force involving law enforcement agencies throughout the region, arrested Donte Graves of Temple Hills on Tuesday and charged him with second-degree murder in the killing of Tyrone Joyner of southwest D.C.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded for the report of a shooting around 6:26 p.m. in the 1400 block of Canal Street in southwest D.C. Once there, officers found Joyner suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was taken to a hospital, where he later died, police said.
A defense attorney for Graves was not listed with the courts March 7, according to online Washington, D.C., court records.
