The Maryland Shakespeare Festival presents a series of performances intended to reintroduce adults to the works of William Shakespeare.

“This Strange Eventful History: Shakespeare Across Generations,” will be performed at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday , at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 106 W. Church St., in downtown Frederick. A matinee performance will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday .

Since these are preview performances, the festival is asking people that attend to pay what they can afford. They are suggesting donations of $15.

The performances will feature information about Shakespeare, his family, historically how his plays were performed as well as scenes from several of his plays. Four of the festival’s actors will bring to light many facts about Shakespeare.

The performances are intended to educate and entertain audiences of all ages.

They are made possible by a grant from Goucher College.
