A Charles County grand jury issued the following indictments:

Brian Keith Whitaker, 23, of Washington, D.C. was charged with first-degree burglary, theft of between $1,000 and $10,000, malicious destruction of property valued at less than $500, two counts of a possession of a stolen regulated firearm and two counts of carrying a handgun for events that occurred Feb. 7.

Allen Thaddeus Chisley Jr., 26, of Newburg was charged with sexual child abuse and continuing course of illegal conduct with a child for events that occurred between Jan. 1, 2009, and Oct. 31, 2012.

Delontae Devon Cole, 19, of Waldorf was charged with first-degree burglary, theft of between $1,000 and $10,000 and conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary for events that occurred Jan. 31. In a separate case, Cole was charged with drug possession with intent to distribute and marijuana possession for events that occurred Feb. 6.

Derrick Anthony Coleman, 32, of Waldorf wad charged with first-degree burglary, theft of between $1,000 and $10,000 and conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary for events that occurred Jan. 31.

Jazz Rozier Jordan, 23, of Waldorf was charged with robbery, second-degree assault, theft of less than $1,000 and intimidating or corrupting a juror for events that occurred Feb. 14.

Matthew Robert John King, 26, of Hartly, Del., was charged with first-degree burglary, theft of between $1,000 and $10,000 and malicious destruction of property valued at less than $500 for events that occurred Feb. 5.

Emmitt Kirby III, 33, of La Plata was charged with second-degree burglary, theft of less than $1,000, malicious destruction of property valued at less than $500 and conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary for events that occurred Jan. 20.

Victor Duane Pierre, 37, of Bryans Road was charged with first-degree assault, use of a firearm in commission of a violent crime, second-degree assault, four counts of reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm by a person with a felony conviction and alteration of a serial number for events that occurred Feb. 5.

Shawn Anthony Ransome, 28, of Waldorf was charged with first-degree burglary, theft of between $1,000 and $10,000 and conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary for events that occurred Jan. 31.

Rudy Sorrell, 51, of Temple Hills was charged with two counts of second-degree assault and carrying a dangerous weapon with intent to injure for events that occurred Feb. 5.

William Hall Wetmore, 37, of Waldorf was charged with second-degree burglary, theft of less than $1,000, malicious destruction of property valued at less than $500 and conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary for events that occurred Jan. 20.
