Each year, Maryland’s governor submits to the legislature, in a traditional green satchel, names for a swath of appointments and reappointments to various state boards and commissions.
O’Malley (D) submitted his 111 nominations Feb. 17 to the state Senate.

Darlene M. Breck of Charles County was nominated for the Maryland Commission for Women.
Robert M. Johnson of Charles County and Gary Douglas Knight of Calvert County were nominated for the Maryland Veterans Home Commission.
Jack R. Beckwith from St. Mary’s County was nominated for the Marine Contractors Licensing Board.
