Three people were injured in a crash on Route 6 in Nanjemoy on Thursday night, the Maryland State Police reported.

Police said William Robert Greer Jr., 47, of Nanjemoy was traveling south on Route 344 at the intersection with Route 6 at 8:31 p.m. in a black 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche when he failed to stop at a stop sign. His vehicle was struck by an orange 2008 Ford Edge driven by Kirstie Marie Olson, 45, of Nanjemoy.

Greer was flown by helicopter to Prince George’s Hospital Center in Cheverly with injuries that are serious, but not life-threatening, police reported. A juvenile passenger in Greer’s vehicle and Olson were taken by ambulance to Civista Medical Center in La Plata with minor injuries.
