Four people were injured in a two-car crash near Cobb Island on Thursday.

Maryland State Police reported that at 12:47 p.m. March 28, a 2000 dark red Mercury Sable driven by Amanda Marie Bradshaw, 24, of Cobb Island was traveling west on Rock Point Road when Bradshaw lost control of her car, skidded over the center line and struck a 2010 green Toyota Camry that was traveling east. The Camry was driven by Connie Miller, 72, of Cobb Island.

Two children, ages 1 and 2, in Bradshaw’s car were injured. The 2-year-old girl was taken by helicopter to National Children’s Medical Center in Washington, D.C., with life-threatening injuries, police reported. The 1-year-old girl and Bradshaw were sent by helicopter to Washington Hospital Center in the District with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

The driver of the Camry was taken to Civista Medical Center in La Plata with injuries that were not life-threatening. The passenger in her car, Roger Alan Miller, 72, of Cobb Island was treated and released on the scene.

The crash is still under investigation. Anyone who might have witnessed the crash is asked to call the Maryland State Police Crash Team at 301-392-1231.
