The College of Southern Maryland’s Cause Theatre melds drama with a social message in “Stop Kiss,” a play about the aftermath of a brutal assault sparked by a man’s rage at seeing two women lost in their first kiss.

The play, which explores relationships and homophobia, includes themes that are not appropriate for younger audiences.

“Stop Kiss” will be performed at 8 p.m. April 5 at the college’s Prince Frederick campus at 115 J.W. Williams Road. It will also be performed at 8 p.m. April 11 through 13 at the Leonardtown campus at 22950 Hollywood Road. Tickets cost $5.
