The Calvert County Department of Public Safety, Emergency Management Division, will conduct a test of a single alert and warning siren at 3 p.m. Friday, April 5.

The siren, located in Prince Frederick, in the area of Route 4 about 1 mile north of Broomes Island Road, will be activated for three minutes as a test following maintenance, according to a county press release. All residents are asked to remember the scheduled testing and relay the information to friends, family and neighbors.

If sirens sound at any other time, residents should tune to a local radio station for information and instructions. Contact the Calvert County Division of Emergency Management at 410-535-1600, ext. 2638, for additional emergency or disaster preparedness information.
