HRASM to meet
The Human Resources Association of Southern Maryland will meet 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 17 at Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative at 15035 Burnt Store Road in Hughesville.
Can your organization afford to lose your reservoir of talented, experienced older workers in the coming years? If not, have you done serious strategic workforce planning to analyze the impact of baby boomer retirements and to identify potential skills gaps that could result? This session will look at key older worker strategies that should be integrated into an overall talent management program for today’s multigenerational workforce.
The presenter will be Eric Peterson, manager of diversity and inclusion initiatives with the Society for Human Resource Management.
The meeting is open to anyone with an interest in human resources issues.
The cost is $30 for members and $35 for nonmembers, which includes lunch. Deadline for registering is April 15. To register, go to http://hrasmonline.shrm.org.
HRASM has more than 110 members from the tri-county area who have a special interest in the human resources field. Its mission is to provide networking, educational, advisory and training opportunities to HR professionals in Southern Maryland.
