The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the people involved in a stabbing at St. Charles Towne Center in Waldorf at 6:30 p.m. March 30.

When officers got to the mall, an investigation revealed that a 21-year-old man and a friend were in the upper level of the mall when two men approached them. One of them pulled a knife and stabbed the victim. The victim ran to the parking lot. He was flown to a hospital, where he was treated and released later that evening. A surveillance photo of the suspect was obtained from a nearby store and shows a man in a green/gray pea coat and dress shoes with two other people, a man and a woman. Detectives want to identify all three of these people.

Police believe the man in the coat stabbed the victim.

He is described as black, 18 to 20 years old, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds. He has a dark complexion with facial hair and long dreadlocks that hang down to his mid-back.

There were two people in a store with the man who police would like to identify as possible associates.

The first is a black male, 18 to 20 years old, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, light complexion, with facial hair and shoulder-length dreadlocks pulled back. He was wearing a black T-shirt with yellow graphics on the front, black jeans, and black and white athletic shoes. He might have tattoos on his arms.

The second possible associate is described as a black female, 18 to 20 years old, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a light complexion and dreadlocks pulled up into a bun. She was wearing a jean jacket, a white top, red pants and tan boots. She had a large brown purse and a small cellphone purse.

Police say she might be the girlfriend of the man who stabbed the victim.

Anyone with information should call detective Chris Shankster 301-609-6513.
