Two motorcyclists were killed on U.S. 301 in Brandywine last week.

Maryland State Police from the Forestville barrack reported that at 11:11 p.m. May 2, a van was at the intersection of southbound U.S. 301 and Short Cut Road when the driver failed to yield the right of way to northbound traffic and struck two motorcycles.

The motorcyclists, Caleb D. Williams and Herby H. Bolick Jr., were pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the van, Brian M. Kauten, was transported to an area hospital by ambulance, police said.

Trooper N. Murray is investigating.
