The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man responsible for a bank robbery.

At 11:51 a.m. Friday, a man entered the Giant store in the 3200 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf and approached a teller at a PNC bank branch inside the store. The man passed a note demanding money. The teller gave him cash, and the man ran away. Forensic investigators collected evidence and also obtained a surveillance photo of the man.

The man is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 300 pounds, with long black hair and a mustache. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a red plaid shirt, gray pants, black shoes and a baseball cap with the word “Brewskies” on it.
