A helicopter working with the C.W. Wright Construction company strings a rope onto the 150-foot utility poles Tuesday along Route 2/4 in Lusby in preparation for pulling the electricity cables that will carry 230,000 volts. The work is part of Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative’s reliability project. The 30-mile line runs from St. Mary’s County, under the Patuxent River, to a substation in Huntingtown, and is expected to be operational in December 2014.
