A Calvert County woman was released from custody Monday morning on $7,500 bail after her arrest on theft charges reporting that more than $550 was stolen from a safe at a St. Mary’s restaurant where she worked as a manager.

Tiffany Michelle Lang, 26, of Owings also was charged with a misdemeanor drug possession offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.

St. Mary’s County sheriff’s deputies report that they responded Sunday to the Arby’s restaurant in Charlotte Hall, where the money was reported missing, and they found Lang and three other people in a motel room in Charlotte Hall. Police allege that as they approached the motel room’s door, they detected an attempt to dispose of suspected cocaine.

Raisha Tenett Gates, 24, of Hughesville; Marvin Robinson, 26, of Suitland; and Brian Russell Hosier, 25, of Mechanicsville also were charged with the theft and drug offenses. A judge ordered Monday that Gates and Robinson both remain in custody in lieu of $5,000 bail each. Hosier was released Monday on $5,000 bail, to await a court hearing on the charges filed from the investigation by sheriff’s Cpl. Keith Moritz.
