Live Out Loud Yoga in La Plata has opened a new center dedicated to yoga and the local yoga community.
The studio will celebrate its grand opening with a weekend of events and specials Feb. 1 and 2.
“All yoga classes facilitate movement allowing you to feel the strength of your body. This movement, in time with your breathing, creates a centered calmness as your mind clears and ignores distractions. Yoga encourages you to pay attention to the feelings of life: calm, vibrant, strong and engaged,” said owner Cindy Johannessen, in a news release from the studio.
Live Out Loud Yoga will offer a variety of classes designed to meet everyone’s needs, according the release.
Classes will be offered at different times of the day to accommodate students’ varying schedules. The studio also will offer classes for children.
The studio is at the corner of Route 6 and Maple Avenue, directly across from Casey Jones Restaurant.
