Snowfall and potentially slick roads have put Montgomery, Prince George’s and Fairfax county schools under a two-hour delay Wednesday morning.

In Montgomery, morning half-day programs are cancelled, but administrative offices and day care programs are open, according to their website.

In Prince George’s, the website listed morning half-day programs and work-study transportation as cancelled, as are field trips and any school program needing transportation before noon.

In Fairfax County, according to their website, morning half-day programs are cancelled, as are field trips and morning transportation for high school academy classes. Full-day preschool and Head Start classes are opening with a two-hour delay.

Snowfall amounts varied, from less than an inch in Montgomery and Fairfax to three inches in some areas of southern Prince George’s, according to the National Weather Service.
