Snowstorms bring a frosty houseguest to Gaithersburg -- Gazette.Net

With many schools and stores closed during last week’s snowstorm, one Gaithersburg family kept busy by building a giant snowman in the front yard of their home on Apache Lane.

From Thursday to Saturday, sisters Cara and Brittany Sperbeck and their dad, David Sperbeck, spent most of their time constructing a 10-foot-tall and 12-foot-wide snowman. The family used parts from a snowman kit for the buttons and heart, rocks for the mouth and eyes, and a dog toy for the nose.
