Three people suffered stab wounds after a party broke up at a Potomac home Saturday.
Police were called to a home off of Alloway Court at about 1:10 a.m. for a report of a stabbing. According to police accounts, a party held earlier in the evening at the home broke up after uninvited guests showed up.
After the guests were asked to leave, some gathered outside the home, and several assaults were believed to have occurred within the group, police said in a news release. When police arrived they discovered that partygoers had already taken the injured to local hospitals.
At about 1:45 a.m., police received a call from a local hospital reporting that a stabbing victim had come into the emergency room. There, officers discovered two victims – a 20-year-old man suffering from a stab wound and an 18-year-old man suffering from injuries to his face and torso.
At about 2 a.m., police in a neighboring jurisdiction received a report from a local hospital that a 15-year-old boy stabbing victim had come into the emergency room there, police said in the release.
Further investigation by officers revealed that the three victims had been at the party on Alloway Court when they were stabbed.
Both the 20-year-old and the 18-year-old men have been treated at the hospital and released. The 15-year-old boy is still hospitalized, according to a police report.
A suspect has not been identified as of Monday morning and detectives are still unsure whether all three victims were stabbed by the same person.
Police found a weapon near the Alloway Court home, but they are unsure if it was the one used in the assaults.
