Community Bank of the Chesapeake announced that David Belman has joined the commercial lending team in Fredericksburg, Va.
In his role as vice president, commercial loan officer, Belman will be responsible for growing commercial loans and deposit business relationships within the market.
“We are delighted to have David join our team,” Greg Cockerham, bank executive vice president, chief lending officer, said in a bank news release. “David is an experienced lender with a proven track record of success, and I know that he will be an asset to us as we strive to exceed expectations in the Fredericksburg market.”
Belman has worked in the financial service industry for 23 years. Prior to joining Community Bank, he served as vice president, business banking relationship manager with StellarOne Bank in Fredericksburg. Belman attended Germanna Community College and completed the RMA Commercial Lending School program at East Carolina University. He is an accredited asset management specialist through the Institute of Wealth Management and has attended numerous workshops for commercial banking through the Virginia Bankers Association.
Belman frequently gives of his time to support community organizations. He has served on the board of directors for the Rappahannock United Way and the Rappahannock Area YMCA and was Treasurer of the Stafford Ruritan Club.
Community Bank of the Chesapeake is headquartered in Waldorf.
