A man was injured in a camper fire Thursday in White Plains, the Office of the State Fire Marshal reported.

Henry Moxley was taken by helicopter to Medstar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., and treated for smoke inhalation. His injuries were not life-threatening, the office reported.

Deputy Fire Marshal J. Nelson reported that the fire was the second one at the address. An investigation is ongoing to determine if the fires are related.

Thirty firefighters from stations in Waldorf, La Plata, Bryans Road, Marbury and Potomac Heights fought the 4:35 p.m. blaze in the 3900 block of Hanson Road.

Nelson determined the fire started inside the 38-foot Bay Ridge recreational vehicle, according to the report. The camper and its contents were destroyed. Damage was estimated at $30,000.

A neighbor discovered the fire.
