Gibson, Dixon engaged

Buddy and Connie Gibson of Clements announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Ann Gibson, to Michael Ray Dixon Jr., son of Mary Ellen and Mike Dixon of Mechanicsville.

The bride-to-be is a 2006 graduate of Chopticon High School. She is enrolled in the radiography program at Prince George's Community College and expects to graduate May 2010.

The groom-to-be is a 2006 graduate of Chopticon High School. He is employed at the Naval Research Lab in Washington, D.C. He is also enrolled at Capital College and is pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He expects to graduate in December 2010.

The couple is planning a February 2011 ceremony at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mechanicsville.
