The following items were compiled from reports from the Maryland State Police Prince Frederick Barrack and the Calvert County Sheriff's Office.

Owings

Money stolen in home burglary

On Dec. 24 at 9:23 a.m., Trooper Thompson responded to the 7900 block of Mount Harmony Road in Owings for a reported burglary. Cash was stolen from a residence.

Prince Frederick

Man charged with possession of cocaine

On Dec. 24 at 7:35 p.m., Tfc. Merkelson stopped a vehicle on Route 231 near Yardley Hills Drive for traffic violations. Swindell Smith Jr., 47, of Washington, D.C., was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. He was also allegedly found to be in possession of cocaine. He was taken to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

Man charged with DUI, possession of marijuana

After conducting a traffic stop on Dec. 23 at 1:35 a.m. at Abigail Court and Whispering Drive, Deputy James Norton allegedly found the driver, later identified as Eli Matthew Arthur Blush, 20, of St. Leonard to be driving under the influence of alcohol and to have suspected drugs. Blush was charged with DUI, possession of marijuana and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a silver canister used to store marijuana.

Man arrested for assault, possession of drugs

On Dec. 24 at 10:07 p.m., Trooper West responded to the 1700 block of Sixes Road for a reported assault. Ricky R. Buck, 54, of Prince Frederick was arrested for assaulting his spouse.

He was also allegedly found to be in possession of cocaine and marijuana. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

Woman arrested for DUI, drug paraphernalia

On Dec. 27 at 7:42 p.m., Tfc. Dawson stopped a vehicle on Stafford Road for traffic violations. Kristin D. Thomas, 23, of North Beach was charged with driving under the influence. She was also allegedly found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

Man arrested for possession of marijuana

On Dec. 28 at 5:03 p.m., Trooper Wyer stopped a vehicle northbound on Main Street near Old Field Lane for traffic violations. Derek J. Wallace, 22, of Prince Frederick was arrested for possession of marijuana.

St. Leonard

Man charged with possession of Clonazepam

Deputy Roscoe Kreps conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Dec. 28 at 1:47 a.m. near the St. Leonard Fastop. The passenger in the vehicle, later identified as Lentwane Sharmone Hall Sr., 27, of Huntingtown originally gave Kreps a false name. He was subsequently allegedly found to have suspected drugs. Hall was arrested and charged with possession of Clonazepam and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, a red pill grinder with white residue, used to prepare Percocet.

Man charged with possession of prescription drugs, removing label

On Dec. 24 at 12:16 a.m., Deputy James Norton conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in front of a home on Long Beach Road. The driver, later identified as Arthur Harry Perry Jr., 32, of Port Republic, was allegedly found to have suspected drugs.

He was arrested and charged with possession of Oxycodone, possession of Oxycontin and unlawfully removing a label on a prescription drug as required by federal, state and local law.
