Romano namedas Maredith inspector

Jim Romano has been named a full-time inspector for Maredith Management.

As inspector, Romano is responsible for inspections of all commons elements as well as inspections for covenant violations for Maredith’s clients. Violations are maintained in Maredith Management’s database, which allows for report generating and following up on violations in a timely manner, according to a press release from Maredith. Addressing issues early on helps homeowners save time and money, Maredith officials said in the release.

Romano is a resident of one of Maredith’s managed communities in Charles County. Maredith Management strives to hire residents from its managed communities, according to the press release.

Maredith Management serves more than 60 communities in various stages of development.

Three join SouthernMd. Business Network

Laura Forbes-Brown of See-Thru Windows and Doors, Herman Stephens of Stephens’ Limousine Service and Pete J. Peno, vice president of the The Hitch Man Inc., recently joined the Southern Maryland Business Network.

See-Thru features American-made windows and doors, including Energy Star replacement windows and doors, energy efficient window systems and steel and fiberglass replacement door systems.

Stephens’ Limousine Service is a member of the National Limousine Association, the Washington Metropolitan Limousine Association, the Association of Limousine Operators in Maryland, the Better Business Bureau and the Charles County Chamber of Commerce.

The service is also listed in the National Register’s 2005 - 2006 Who’s Who for Excellence & Professionalism, according to a press release.

The Hitch Man Inc. was incorporated in January 1994 as a family-owned and operated business that offers mobile delivery and installation of truck accessories.

The Hitch Man’s stores are certified Maryland trailer inspection stations and sell new and used trailers and repair trailers. They also offer truck, SUV and car accessories and snow and ice removal equipment and repairs.

SMBN is an independent, nonprofit, self-directed organization.

Meetings are held weekly from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays at Southwinds Adult Active Community off of Billingsley Road on Southwinds Place.

Price named team leader

Waldorf resident Melissa Price is now a team leader for Tastefully Simple Inc., a direct at-home seller of gourmet foods.

Price earned the promotion through sales achievements and by adding new consultants to the team. The promotion entitles Price to commissions, bonuses, allowances and more, according to a press release.

Also, Brinson Lundegard of Port tobacco and Mackenzie Neer of Waldorf have become independent consultants for the company.
