Cailee Copes, 8, of Upper Marlboro helps Glenda Fields, "The Storylady," of Prince Frederick tell the story of Madam C.J. Walker who went from a life of washing clothes to becoming the first black woman to build a multi-million dollar business. She developed a line of hair and beauty products geared for black women and built the Madam C.J. Walker Manufacturing Company. The story telling was part of the "Living The Dream" program put on Saturday by the Southern Maryland Chapter of Jack and Jill of America at the Boys & Girls Club of Southern Maryland Bayside Unit in North Beach.
