‘Copacabana'

Contra dance

Benefit concert

The event will be held at 3 p.m. March 15 at Christ Church with various musicians as well as the Fabulous Flutes and St. Charles Brass. Money will be collected for a ministry benefitting Ugandan orphans. Christ Church is at 112 E. Charles St., La Plata. Call 301-392-1051.

Book sale

Friends of St. Mary's County Library will have its annual book sale from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. March 14 and noon-4:30 p.m. March 15. Books from three libraries will be sold at St. Mary's County Fairgrounds, 42455 Fairgrounds Road (off Route 5), Leonardtown.

St. Patrick's Day Dance
