Resume: Captain; three-time 4A-3A state champion after wins in 100 backstroke, 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay; added a silver medal in 200 freestyle; in backstroke, was SMAC (56.01 seconds) and 4A-3A South regional (record of 56.09) champion; swam first leg in medley relay to help team to SMAC (1 minute 48.56 seconds), regional (record of 1:46.86) and state (1:43.90) titles; was anchor leg on 200 free relay team that won SMAC (1:35.13, 0.81 off conference record), regionals (record 1:36.16) and states (1:34.32); in 200 free, was runner-up at SMAC (1:55.16), regionals (1:53.74) and states (1:52.19), where he lost to the state record holder

Resume: Despite a roster of three seniors and 13 underclassmen, the Patriots finished perfect 12-0 to win the SMAC regular-season title; claimed title despite knee injury to George Pavelko (swam 100 back, 200 free, relays); average margin of victory was 65 points; defeated three teams by more than 100 points; 3-0 in meets decided by 10 points or less; finished third at SMAC meet and placed second at 3A-2A-1A South regional meet; took eighth place at 3A-2A-1A state meet despite missing key sprinter
