Tracey and Irving Harris of Irving Harris Photography in Welcome worked with other Professional Photographers of America members for PPA Charities' Family Portrait Month.
The annual, national fundraising effort benefits Operation Smile, a children's medical charity whose network of volunteers helps improve the health and lives of children and young adults.
Since its founding, Operation Smile volunteers have treated more than 120,000 children born with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities and the organization has a presence in 51 countries.
In January, during PPA's Imaging USA convention in Phoenix, PPA Charities presented a check for $50,635.21 to Operation Smile.
During a four-year partnership, PPA Charities has raised more than $150,000 for Operation Smile.
Irving Harris Photography participates in the annual fundraising event by donating a portion of each October and November family portrait sale to Operation Smile.
The Charles County studio plans to expand its Operation Smile fundraising opportunities this year.
