Make time

Young musicians

Charles County Youth Orchestra and Encore Strings will present a spring concert at 7 p.m. April 26 at the Good Shepherd Church, Smallwood Drive E., Waldorf. Tickets will be sold at the door and are $8 for adults and $5 for seniors and children younger than 18. Call 301-751-1061.

Sharing words

Retiring poets Lucille Clifton and Michael Glaser will host a free reading of their works at 8:15 p.m. April 26 in Montgomery Hall at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Pianist Brian Ganz will accompany the poets as they share their poems, their spirits and their gratitude to this community for the nurture and support they have received. A reception will follow. Open reading
