RecruitMilitary Career Fair will be held at FedEx Field in Landover from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. May 1. More than 300 veterans are expected to attend to help returning troops and other veterans, service members and their spouses find jobs. Veterans will be able to interview with national, regional and local employers. This event is produced in cooperation with the National Hire Veterans Committee, American Legion and the Military Spouse Corporate Career Network. Go to www.recruitmilitary.com.

Community Bank of Tri-County and the Charles County Chamber of Commerce will hold a Business After Hours from 5:30-7:30 p.m. May 1 at the bank, 3035 Leonardtown Road, Waldorf. Charles County Chamber of Commerce will hold its new member orientation and networking breakfast from 8-10 a.m. May 7 at the chamber office at 101 Centennial St., Suite A, La Plata. The meeting, sponsored by La Plata Nutrition – The Daily Shake, enables the chamber to provide information to new members about the organization, its mission and members.
