Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley on Thursday announced his judicial appointments to fill two vacancies in Charles County court.
Domestic Relations Master Helen I. Harrington will become a judge in circuit court, occupying the place of Judge Christopher C. Henderson, who retired last year.
Charles county Assistant State's Attorney Kenneth A. Talley was selected as the replacement for recently retired District Court Judge Richard A. Cooper.
Harrington has been the county's domestic relations master since 1992, a press release from the governor's office stated. Talley has worked as a public defender, as a private attorney and, most recently, as an assistant state's attorney in Charles County.
"I am proud to appoint such a highly qualified and diverse group of candidates to serve in courts across our state," said O'Malley (D) in the press release.
