Sweet singing
Local country recording artist Austin Cody will perform at 7 p.m. May 2 at DessertFest, a fundraiser for Health Partners, at the Jaycees center, 3090 Crain Highway, Waldorf.

Earth sounds
St. Maries Musica will present ‘‘Songs of Wind and Water” in free community concerts at 3 p.m. May 4 at Our Lady, Star of the Sea, 14400 Solomons Island Road South, Solomons, and at 7:30 p.m. May 5 at Lexington Park United Methodist Church, 21760 Great Mills Road.

Down on the farm
Hard Bargain Farm Environmental Center will hold its free annual Spring Farm Festival and plant sale from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. May 3 at the farm in Accokeek. Come enjoy live music, great barbecue, animal exhibits, demonstrations of cow milking, butter churning, sheep shearing, wool spinning and antique tools, arts, crafts, hay wagon rides to the Potomac River for a nominal fee and bird of prey demonstrations.
