A Brandywine woman was severely injured after her car overturned in a Tuesday morning accident, according to police.
The 27-year-old was driving her 1990 Volvo 760 north on Woodville Road near Watson Road in Brandywine when, for unknown reasons, her car drifted across the double yellow and the oncoming lane, according to Diane Richardson, sheriff's office spokeswoman.
The woman's car continued into a wooded area, where it overturned and trapped her, Richardson said.
Authorities responded to the accident at 11:19 a.m. and freed the woman. She was flown to Prince George's Hospital Center, where she was admitted with life-threatening injuries.
