John Elmer Williams, 70, of Mechanicsville died April 30, 2008, at his residence.
Born April 5, 1938, in La Jolla, Calif., he was the son of Laura E. Guiett Williams of El Cajon, Calif., and the late John Henry Williams.
He was a construction inspector for JMT Engineering.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Kay Anita Williams; his children, Kimberly K. Rieman (Phil) of La Plata, John R. Williams of Mechanicsville and Daniel M. Williams (Kelli) of Stewartstown, Pa.; his siblings, Irene Elmore of El Cajon, Calif., and Ruth Massingale, (Lyle) of Canton, Ill.; his sister-in-law, Becky Harden of Mechanicsville; his grandchildren, P.J. Rieman, Kimmy C. Rieman, Cindy M. Rieman, John L. Williams and Justin M. Rieman; and many nieces and nephews and many friends.
The family received friends and a service was held May 3 at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home in Charlotte Hall. The Rev. Peter Alliata officiated. Interment will be private.
