Mary Agatha Somerville, 99, Mechanicsville

She was the daughter of the late Sam Waters and Genevieve Jackson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Somerville; her children, Magdaline, William, John and Lynwood Somerville and Mary Ernestine Barnes.

She is survived by two sons, Lawrence ‘‘Pap” Somerville of Leonardtown and Robert ‘‘Brook” of Valley Lee; and her daughter, Dorothy ‘‘Dot” Bond of Mechanicsville.

A viewing was held and prayers were recited May 6 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Morganza. A celebration of life will take place today, May 7, at 10 a.m., with a viewing from 9 to 10 a.m., at the church. Arrangements are being provided by Stewart Funeral Home in Washington, D.C.
