Robert Lee Gandy, 76, of Lexington Park died May 1, 2008, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.
Born March 17, 1932, in Hazlehurst, Miss., he was the son of the late James David Gandy and Jessie Mae (Armstrong) Gandy.
He is survived by his children, Mary Ann Coontz of Lexington Park, Frances C. Willis of Boone, N.C., and Robert Lee Gandy Jr. of Lanham; his sisters, Linnie Gandy Shirley of Jackson, Miss., and Minnie Gandy Meadows of Madison, Miss.; and his brothers, Wallace Gandy and Walter Gandy of Hazlehurst, John Gandy of Clinton, Miss., and Marion Gandy of Baton Rouge, La.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Ann (Keiflin) Gandy; his grandson, Raymond Coontz; and his brothers, C.A. Gandy, James Denver Gandy, Levan Gandy and Luther Gandy.
A graveside service will be held today, May 7, at 3 p.m. at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham.
Arrangements are being provided by Brinsfield Funeral Home in Leonardtown.
