A two for one deal with dinner and theater

St. Mary, Star of the Sea School will hold a dinner theater at 6:30 p.m. May 9 and 10 at the school at 6485 Indian Head Highway in Indian Head. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students and free for children 3 and younger. Call 301-283-6151.

A lunchtime fundraiser for Catholic schools

Catholic Business Association of Charles County will hold an Outback Steakhouse lunch with first seating from 11 a.m. to noon and second seating from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. May 14 at Waldorf’s Outback Steakhouse at 3020 Crain Highway.

Help the Catholic Business Association raise money for its scholarship fund to benefit local Catholic schools. All dinners are being donated by Outback, so 100 percent of the proceeds will go toward scholarships.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children 5 to 10 and free for children 4 and younger. All tickets should be purchased in advance. Carryout only available with purchase of ticket.

Learn about life as a senior

Thomas Stone High School’s administration and PTSO will present ‘‘So You’re Going to be a Senior” or ‘‘Start Saving Now.” The program will be at 7 p.m. May 15 in the career center at 3785 Leonardtown Road in Waldorf.

The meeting is geared toward juniors and their parents, but sophomores and freshmen are welcome. Topics will include senior portfolio, exit interviews for seniors, fees and dues associated with senior year such as the senior trip and graduation pictures and expectation for the final year of high school. Current seniors and parents of graduating seniors will be on hand along with faculty members for a time of questions and answers.

The meeting is open to the public.

Memorial garden honors TSHS family

Thomas Stone High School will hold a dedication and opening of the Thomas Stone Memorial Garden at 1 p.m. May 31 at the school at 3785 Leonardtown Road in Waldorf.

The garden has been designed to honor the students, faculty and staff who have died while attending and serving Thomas Stone High School.
