The bride-to-be is a 2001 graduate from McGuffey High School in Claysville, Pa. She is a 2005 graduate from Geneva College in Pennsylvania, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. She is employed as a first-grade teacher at Piney Point Elementary School in Tall Timbers.

The groom-to-be is a 1999 graduate of Central High School in Pennsylvania. He is a 2003 graduate of Geneva College, with a bachelor in science degree in biology. In 2007, he received his medical degree at Temple University, School of Medicine. He is a first-year family medicine resident at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood, Texas.

The ceremony is scheduled for May 24, 2008, at Patuxent Presbyterian Church.
