Cherry Johnson, 96, of Washington, D.C., died May 5, 2008, at the Doctor’s Community Hospital, Lanham.
She was born Nov. 24, 1911 in Roxobel, N.C. to the late Jule Bishop and the late Nealie Cox Bishop.
A viewing will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 10 at Thornton Funeral Home, Indian Head. Additional services will be held May 12 at Wilder’s Funeral Home, Rich Square, N.C.
