Paul Christopher ‘‘Chris” Johnson Sr., 38, of La Plata died May 4, 2008, at home.
Born Jan. 14, 1970, in La Plata, he was the son of Shirley A. and Herman P. Johnson.
Being an only child and son, he was greatly loved and cherished. He was a loving father and friend. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and detailing cars. He enjoyed life to its fullest, fixing computers, cookouts and vacationing with family and friends. He was always willing to help others without being asked and was always the last to ask for anything for himself. He was a graduate of Maurice J. McDonough High School and was employed as a computer specialist with Computer Science Corp.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Kayla and Paul Johnson Jr.; fiancee, Julie Harris and her daughter, Corissa Slattery; his children’s siblings, Kyna Wells, Timothy and Zachia Greenfield; and other family.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. May 10 at St. Joseph’s Church, Pomfret. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Jenifer Jr., Darrell Mahoney, Marco Proctor, Rodney Smoot, Joseph, Swann and Shawn Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be John L. Chesley Jr., Tobias Cooper, Calvin Hickerson, John Harley, Joby Keokuk and Shawn Proctor.
Arrangements are being handled by Thornton Funeral Home, Pomonkey.
